3D Hydro2 Facial
No, its a very relaxing treatment. You will experience different sensations from the electrical currents but these can be ajusted to remain comfortable throughout.
We recommend a course of 6 weekly, then move onto monthly maintenance.
Blemish Removal
You will experience a mild discomfort to begin with but it soon goes.
Yes our prices are based on time, so we will treat as many as we can in the time booked. Some larger blemishes may be quoted at a higher price.
Yes, Advanced Electrolysis has been used for 100’s of years and has outstanding results. The procedure has minimal down time and if you follow the correct after care, healing will be quicker. Our Clinic has been inspected by the Local Authorities and we use all medical grade sterilisation methods such as an Autoclave & Sterilisation Pouches to keep all equipment safe and sterile. The needles are single use and disposed off in a sharps bin. Hannah will be using PPE and the whole room is cleaned both Pre & Post procedure.
Dermalux Phototherapy
No, its actually a very pleasant treatment. Much like laying on a beach with a gentle breeze!
Yes, we will remove any make up prior to treatment, but you are free to reapply after.
Ideally we like you to commit to 2 a week for 3 weeks. Then after that initial course once a month is what we class as maintenance to keep your results tip top!
No, Dermalux is LED Phototherapy using red, blue and near infrared light. It does not contain UV light which can damage skin tissue and cause sun tans.
Dermalux used light energy (think photosynthesis from your school days) to stimulate the skins natural healing processes and speeding up collagen production by stimulating the cells and giving them energy to work faster and harder, much like they do in young people but it slows down as we age. So this is why the Dermalux LED Phototherapy gives you that youthful glowy look.
Permanent Hair Removal
It’s a relatively painless experience but you can sometimes feel the needle insertion and the current.
All hair types and colourings are suitable for Electrolysis. Unlike laser we can treat white, grey, blonde and strawberry blondes.
We need to carry out an in-depth consultation to make sure that you are suitable for the treatment. Some people will not be, due to certain medications and/or ailments, and some will need a doctor’s note. Then we will carry out a patch test on small discreet area to see how you find the procedure and how your skin reacts.
Massage
Wear something comfortable, like a tracksuit. If you are having a full body massage we will ask you to go down to your pants and lay under a blanket. However if you’re having a back neck and shoulder massage you may prefer to keep your trousers on but pull them down a bit so we can access your lower back. Either way after a relaxing massage it’s nice just to pull on some comfortable clothes and snuggle up warm.
We will go to a pressure you’re comfortable with. If you want something lighter and softer we would recommend you choose any massage that’s not in the Deep Tissue section, these massages are much firmer and designed to work deeper into the muscles.
Yes you will have privacy to get undressed and pop yourself under a lovely blanket and the same privacy is given at the end to get re dressed.
Mesoestetics Microneedling
Yes, we would recommend you stop using retinol for a minimum of 3 days prior and post microneedling.
We recommend 48 hours either side of your facial for any hair removal treatments.
Great question! It can be tricky to know whats best for your skin needs, thats why we have a free consultation so you can discuss your needs and we can advise further.
Nimue Advanced Facials
Only if you are opting for one of our Peels, in which case we would recommend you stop using retinol for 3 days prior.
We recommend 48 hours either side of your facial for any hair removal treatments.
Great question! It can be tricky, we have popped some descriptions under each facial but if you’re still unsure either drop us a line or book in for a taster facial where we can assess your skin and guide you to the right treatment path.
Sienna X Spray Tanning
Yes we recommend in the run up to your tan you exfoliate & moisturise regularly.
With shower fresh skin; no creams, no deodorant, no makeup and limit the jewellery you wear. Wear loose dark clothing to avoid marking the tan as it develops.
Waxing
About 1/4inch – 1/2inch for best results. If your hair is coarse 1/2 inch is better. If your hair is too short the wax won’t grip it & the results won’t be as good.
We recommend starting your waxing journey in the winter. This way by the spring your hairs will be in synergy and much softer and finer.
There is a small amount of discomfort but most clients after a few waxes find it much more comfortable. Women may wish to avoid the time around your period as you might be more sensitive.
You don’t have to, you will be given the choice and our therapists will work round whatever helps you feel more comfortable.
Everyone varies but on average we’d say every 4-6 weeks depending on hair re-growth.
Yes, we changed to this method recently which is how they wax in America.
The old double dipping is still taught in UK collages, however we have decided to change all wax pots, start a fresh with all new wax and now only use the dip once, strip the wax off and then drop the spatular directly into the bin.
This reduces and cross contamination and ensures our hygiene remains 5 star.
Brows & Lashes
Yes you need to have a valid patch test that has been performed by our salon. If you’ve not been for over a year for an eyelash lift & tint we will need to re do the patch test as it will no longer be valid.
